the software package developed and maintained for the patient's prescription, SecondOpinion™, will be available in several editions.  The primary edition, SecondOpinion™ Personal, is a personal medical information management tool, designed to aid individuals and families in tracking their appointments, conditions, prescriptions, insurance claims, and other related data.  the editions will include SecondOpinion™ Physician, SecondOpinion™ Practice, SecondOpinion™ Hospital, SecondOpinion™ HMO, and several others.  these editions will be designed to help healthcare management professionals track the appropriate and necessary information in the scope of each.  features will include management from small physician's office, with features such as appointment scheduling, prescription tracking, and records management, through large-scale healthcare facilities like hospitals, and finally, on to multi-site healthcare organizations.

all of the editions will be interoperable, with the capability to share select information, such as upcoming appointments or lab test results, between doctor and patient.  naturally, all of these interfaces and systems are being designed with the context of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) accountability and protection.
